At ISU, Ms. Maloney took an average of 17 credits per semester while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. In each of her semesters as a Bengal, Carly earned recognition on the Dean’s list and was a member of the Idaho State Honors Program where she completed an undergraduate thesis titled “Factors that Affect Teachers’ Common Core State Standards Implementation.” Carly’s undergraduate thesis has received national recognition as a published piece in the “Undergraduate Research Journal for the Human Science” and, will be used to enhance Common Core implementation in the classroom. From 2011 to 2014, Carly was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. As a student at Idaho State, Carly was a member of the women’s soccer team playing the position of goalie which earned her recognition as “Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week,” all academic honors, and the Big Sky Championship in 2012. Carly was selected as the 2014 ISU Scholar Athlete of the Year and the 2014 Big Sky Conference Scholar Athlete for Idaho State University.
Carly will be teaching at Viewmont High School starting in the fall.
