WOODS CROSS — After more than 20 years in Bountiful, Tuellers Press is planning a move to new, bigger space in Centerville.
The plan is to open at 1200 W. Legacy Crossing Blvd., near the CenterPoint Legacy Theater, by Sept. 1.
It is an area that Tuellers co-owner Ted Tueller said generates a lot of traffic, and will provide double the square footage for the growing business. His wife, Sandra, is a co-owner as well.
“We need growing room. We’re so cramped,” he said. “Our main growth has been in the last four years.”
Size of equipment and types of jobs have led to that greater use of space, as Tuellers has embraced the digital age of printing, Tueller said.
“We are not a copy shop,’” he emphasized. The business does a wide range of other work, ranging from creating banners to history books and wedding announcements and more.
When full color envelopes could be created digitally, it was time to fully move in that direction, he said.
The firm contracts with in-state and out-of-state on more traditional offset printing jobs.
“I’ve been in the printing business my whole life,” Tueller said, indicating how he followed in his father’s footsteps. His father owned a print shop in Shelley, Idaho, near Idaho Falls.
Ted Tueller said he always wanted to operate his own business, seeing the success of what was originally Duerden’s Western Auto in Bountiful, started by Sandra’s father, Delbert Duerden.
Tuellers has five employees now and that number will likely grow with the move, Ted Tueller said. The business is currently at 530 W. 1500 South, Suite M.
