Anastasio receives honor

Hannah R. Anastasio, born in Schenectady, N.Y., raised in Bountiful, will graduate from Bountiful High School Friday, May 30 with honors. In recognition of academic achievement and excellence, Hannah has been nominated and accepted into the National Society of High School Scholars. The Society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and involvement at the high school level. Candidates were evaluated on the basis of academic success, service and character.

Hannah has received a NSHSS medallion, gold graduation cord and sash in recognition of her hard work and commitment to superior academic achievement. Hannah has also accepted the Concurrent Enrollment Edge Scholarship offered through Weber State University. She will receive $1,500 as a scholarship award. She has completed 12 credits of concurrent enrollment classes with a 3.7 GPA. Hannah will attend Weber State University in the fall majoring in zoology with future plans to pursue a medical degree. She has also accepted nomination for membership in the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars through the Weber State University Chapter. Her family and friends are exceptionally proud of her and her accomplished success. Congratulations.
