MORGAN – The Utah Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old from Farmington was killed in a single-vehicle rollover in Morgan County early morning on June 3.
According to a release from the UHP, Austin L. Larsen of Farmington was traveling east on Interstate 84 just before 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday when he lost control of his 199 Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The UHP said Larsen left the highway and swerved into the median, where the truck flipped over after an overcorrection.
Troopers say Larsen was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the truck during the crash, landing on the pavement.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the release, investigators say Larsen may have fallen asleep and drifted off the road.
