I met Chet Loftis within a couple of days of his moving into Davis County 20 years ago. I have had the privilege of associating with him on almost a daily basis since that time.
I know of his desire to be of service to our community. One of Chet’s strengths is his ability to think things through, see all sides, find the best solution and bring people together.
I am disappointed by Dr. Ward wanting to turn Chet’s experience in the legislature into a negative thing. Chet is held in highest regard by those who serve in the legislature. Having the knowledge of how to get things done on Capitol Hill to me is a plus.
If I needed surgery I would certainly turn to someone who had knowledge of anatomy. Why would I not want someone who has expertise in the legislative process to represent me on Capitol Hill?
I know Chet has a desire to serve people and to make their lives better. I have watched him make personal sacrifices in order to do something good for everyone. I have found him to be a man of great integrity and he is making a commitment to be accessible to all of us. I know he will listen to whatever concerns we might have.
I encourage all of you as concerned citizens to visit his website, chetisready.com, and judge for yourself who is the best man for the job.
