PROVO — Scholarships are available for recent high school graduates interested in online career studies.
Career Step, which provides training in healthcare, technology and administration online, will award one scholarship to a student from each Utah high school, for a total value of $450,000.
“Career training programs are a great option for students looking for an alternative to college or a way to pay their way through school,” said Ryan Ewer, vice president of enrollments and marketing.
Applications are due by Aug. 31, for students who have or who are graduating in 2014. The application should include a 200- to 500-word essay on why pursuing additional education after high school is important, and should be sent to careerstep.com/utah-scholarship.
