Janean Jackson Bauman, 79, passed away peacefully at home in Bountiful, on July 8, 2014 with family surrounding her. She was born December 6, 1934, in Logan. She was the daughter of George “Wells” Jackson and Josephine “Jodie” Petersen Jackson.  Janean grew up in Lewiston, Utah on the family farm.  With her father’s tutoring she grew to love horses and participated in rodeo royalty and competitive events.  From her mother she learned to care for her home and family with love and efficiency. She graduated from North Cache High School in 1953 receiving her engagement ring on the night of graduation from the young man she had earlier felt would one day be her husband.  She married Charles Hunt Bauman on September 16, 1953 in the Logan temple. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year.

Janean served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always looking for someone she could serve.  She set a great example for her children and grandchildren of hard work, love for fellow men and devotion to the Lord.

Janean supported her husband through his college and career years with encouragement and understanding. She was a devoted mother to her children and was always there for them. Her interests included her flower gardens, sewing, and sharing the raspberries from their patch. She was a student of the scriptures with an unwavering testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a love for the Savior.
