Congratulations to Jon Gibson, Samuel Adams, Nathan Bartholomew, Jacob Stephens and Matt Stringham on receiving their Eagle Scout Awards. Jon is the son of Rodney and Marian Gibson. Samuel is the son of Bob and Sarah Adams. Nathan is the son of Bryan and Teresa Bartholomew. Jeremy is the son of Kent and Bonnie Stephens. Matt is the son of Scott and Kathy Stringham. They are all members of Troop 1211 of the Lakeview Ward in Centerville. They would all like to thank Gaylen Jackson, Blaine Zwahlen, Bud Stanford, and Gary Hatch, Jorge Dennis and Jason Campbell.

Jon removed old computers and set up 40 new computers in the computer lab at Reading Elementary.

Sam and about 30 friends worked on trail repairs and erosion control on the trail at Freedom Hills Park in Centerville.

Nate and his friends updated and assembled 35 emergency backpacks for Jennie P. Stewart Elementary.

Jacob contacted the LDS representative and offered to sand the railings and paint them at an LDS Stake Center in Centerville. The rails were beginning to chip and rust. With the help of many of the boys and adult leaders, Jacob was able to secure the paint, rollers and sandpaper. Over an eight-hour period, the group was able to complete the job, which was later inspected by the LDS church physical facilities department.

Matt and his group unpacked, assembled, and connected computers in two computer labs and the library at Central Davis Jr. High. They also disassembled old computers and hard drives for recycling.
