SALT LAKE CITY – The Ragnar Relay Series is once again looking for Utah runners to compete in a relay race in August.

The Ragnar Relay Challenge, sponsored by Outdoor Retailer, is looking for runners to compete in the nine-mile relay race on Friday, Aug. 8.

The race will run from 6-8:30 a.m. and will have teams of three runners racing at The Pavillions at the main Outdoor Retailer location in Salt Lake City.

Registration is $15 for members of the Outdoor Industry Women’s Coalition (OIWC), $20 per person or $60 per team. A team of three that includes at least one OIWC member is $45.

Individual registratants will be placed on a team.

The first team will begin its run at 6:15 a.m. and the starting line will be located at approximately 200 W. South Temple. Each runner will race through a three-mile loop to complete the race. Runners will go from the Salt Palace up to a canyon and back to the starting line.

Aid stations will be available and at the turn-around to provide water and snacks.

Runners may currently register on-line by Friday, Aug. 1. They may also register in person at the Ragnar Relay booth (#A-95) on either of the first two days of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City.

Registrants will receive a T-shirt, snacks and a finisher’s medal.

All racers are required to sign a waiver during check-in on race day and organizers ask that runners show up at least 15 minutes before their scheduled start time.
