BOUNTIFUL — Vikings, it turns out, are just as terrifying on the ice.

Viewmont Hockey beat East High team 10 - 0, improving their summer league record to a perfect 4 - 0. Freshman P.J. Tanner led the Vikings with four goals. Goaltenders Tyler Wolfley and Aaron Jorgensen combined for the shutout.

Viewmont has outscored its first four opponents by a combined 62-7 margin.

In other league play, Davis County Independent improved its season record to 3 - 1, with a 9 - 1 thrashing of Mid-Valley Independent on June 3.

Throughout this season, DCI has shown itself to be another team from Davis County with potential. DCI includes players from Woods Cross High as well as other schools throughout the county, and is led by top scoring defenseman Dax Hobbs.
