Hogi Yogi and Teriyaki Stix, with three locations in Davis County, are looking toward expanding their efforts beyond Utah and nearby states.

Recently the companies were acquired by Sopra Capital II, a private equity and management firm based in Salt Lake City.

“The Sopra Brands team understands our business; our implementation of their strategies has already provided growth and added profitability to our bottom line,” said Mike Clayton, founder of Hogi Yogi and Teriyaki Stix. “The partnership with Sopra will allow our existing team to more effectively focus its talents.”

Hogi Yogi and Teriyaki Stix were formerly run by HYATS, LLC. David Leoncavallo, managing director for Sopra Capital II, said by acquiring the stores they will be able to double the number of stores.
