BOUNTIFUL—City council has approved grants to two local arts groups from Bountiful’s Recreation Arts and Parks (RAP) tax program.

An $8,000 grant was awarded to the Joy Foundation, to be split between the Chalk Arts Festival ($5,005) and a combination of the Tech Support, Open Mic and Bountiful’s Got Talent programs (the remaining $2,995).

The Bountiful Davis Arts Center will receive a grant for $12,695 for eligible equipment purchases and the Plein Arts event.
