On Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 David and Patricia Troseth will celebrate their 50th marriage anniversary with their families and friends. David and Pat met each other in Brigham City. Pat’s parents, Bob and Mary Travis, had moved to Brigham City from Southern California in May 1966.

In early June 1966, Dave was finishing playing golf with Pat’s parents on the old golf course in Brigham City. As they were on the 9th green, Dave noticed a “good looking young woman” on the practice range hitting some golf balls. When they finished the hole, Bob and Mary introduced Dave to their daughter Pat. Dave and Pat talked a little and they all left to their residences. A few days later Dave contacted Pat and asked her for a date. For the next months they dated and went to meet with their families. On Feb. 3, 1967 they were married.

They lived in Brigham City until January 1972 when they moved to Bountiful. During that time they had two daughters, Teresa Ann and Shelley Noel. In 1989 Teresa married Greg Watts. They have a son, Zachary (his wife Sarah) and a daughter Abigail. In 1995, Shelley married Keith Byers. They have two daughters, Savannah and Lorelai.

During that time, Dave was employed in Information Systems. Starting at Thiokol (aerospace corporation) then moved to at that time, Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. A few years later he went back to Thiokol which now is known as ATK. In 1996 Dave retired.

Meanwhile, Pat began to create her business in clothing apparel starting with gymnastic items and expanded to dance wear items. Her business now resides at the Pat’s Dancewear store located at 105 S. Main, Bountiful. Pat is still managing her store.
