BOUNTIFUL— The Centerville chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers will hold its monthly meeting March 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs dining room of the Wight House in Bountiful. The presenter for this month will be Alan L. Morrell, the artifacts curator at the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City.
Morrell joined the Church History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2008. He lives in Bountiful with his wife and four children. Alan received his PhD in History from the University of Utah. His dissertation looked at the role of boundaries in the construction of Mormon identity. Alan received his master’s degree in history from Villanova University and his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University.
