NORTH SALT LAKE--Reynolds Auto Care Centers has continued their support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Utah and the MDA Summer Camp this year with a very successful fundraising drive. The North Salt Lake business has been participating in the annual fundraising drive for three years. This year they raised over $2,500, more than enough to send one child to the week long MDA Summer Camp.

Owner and manager Rob Reynolds presented MDA representative Zach Hicken the check from this year’s drive.

“Sean Collatz, a long time employee and friend of Reynolds Auto Care, has really spearheaded our efforts to support our MDA collections and has done an excellent job,” Reynolds said. During the drive employees asked customers to donate $1 or $5 to help send children with Muscular Dystrophy to camp for one week. Sean led the team in dollars raised. When asked about what his motivation was, he said, “I had fun doing it. I enjoy helping the MDA and the kids.”

The week-long MDA Summer Camp is for children with muscular dystrophy and allows them opportunities to try new things. The camp has specially designed facilities that allow children to go horseback riding, ride zip-lines, fish, do crafts and participate in a fun talent show. Most attendees remark that the best part of camp is the feeling of being normal and not being judged or held back by others. The camp is made possible by generous donations like those acquired by the team at Reynolds Auto Care.
