Two Mueller Park teams win state Little League baseball titles

Three teams of baseball players from the Mueller Park Baseball Association advanced to state championships this year, and both the 9U and 14 U teams came home with the titles.

The 9U team won the state tournament and advanced to the Pacific Southwest Regional tournament. They defeated a team from Guam 4-3 in extra innings as the tournament began.

Coaches Steve Theobald and Chad Parker, along with manager Scott Hallows, had a team that included Tegan Barnes, Sam Bennett, Drew Bergeson, Kyson Burningham, Elias Carrejo, James Hallows, Titan Longson, Gavin Parker, Jake Richards, Brody Rogers, Dylan Sagers, Cannon Stevenson, Scotty Theobald and Michael Willis.

The 14-U team took first in state. They went 3-0 in pool play and went into the State championships as the #1 seed. They earned a trip to the regional tourney in Surprise, Arizona.

Coaches: Paul Clements, Matt Schultz, and Brad Horsley,  Manager: Doug Terrill. Players included Bryson Clements, Lincoln Duryea, Jackson Forsgren, Jory Goodwin, Braxton Haslam, Danny Horsley, Carson Knudsen, William Schultz, Spencer Terrill and Carson Williams.
