Consulting his GPS the man replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon, 30 feet above ground at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.”
She rolled her eyes and barked, “You must be a Conservative.”
“How’d you know?” he asked.
“Well,” she grumbled, “everything you said is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’re wasting my time.”
Smiling, he said, “You’re a Liberal.”
“How’d you know?” she replied.
“Well,” said he, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You got here with a lot of hot air, made a promise you can’t keep; and, you expect someone else to solve your problem. You’re in the same position as before we met, but now, somehow, it’s my fault.”
I remember when sex education was provided by parents, friends behind the barn or just some plain old, limited experimentation. Very few school kids were sexually active. In those days, sexually transmitted diseases were few and far between, pregnancy out of wedlock was rare and nobody went to school wearing a maternity smock.
Liberals had no clue what they were doing but knew they had to do something. They demanded that sex education become a public school responsibility. They have been wildly successful in sexualizing children; and the future application of this twisted “new morality” will fall painfully on coming generations.
Today, sex education is “taught” by the schools, hinted at by parents, expanded upon by friends behind the mall and widely experimented with. Too many school kids are now sexually active. STDs are widespread, pregnancy out of wed-lock is socially acceptable and protruding bellies thrust against bulging navels and too tight T-shirts as a repulsive and unsightly badge of honor.
Simply because liberals want more control is not a good reason to pass more laws leading nowhere . . . particularly in this matter. If Legislators really want to do something good for sex education in Utah they should forward a bill abolishing this fruitless waste of time in public schools. Sex Education should uniquely be a parental responsibility.

Second, how could you say that teens think of their situation as a badge of honor?? Go talk to a pregnant 16-year-old and tell me you still think that. You should have respect for them taking responsibility for their actions when they could have terminated. Please do some research before you make further accusations about teen mothers.
