DAVIS COUNTY — The “Concept to Company” contest, sponsored by Zions Bank, USTAR and Grow Utah Ventures, among others, is looking for Davis County entrepreneurs.
The contest started three years ago as a way for entrepreneurs from Davis County and elsewhere to submit their business ideas.
“This Concept to Company Contest is the fourth we have held,” said T. Craig Bott, president and CEO of Grow Utah Ventures and a Davis County resident. “To date, we and our sponsors have given away more than $120,000 in cash and services to nine winners in the past contests which have focused on outdoor recreation, general technology and medical devices.
“We are excited to do the same in the field of responsible energy innovation.”
Submissions for the contest will be accepted until Aug. 30. Finalists will be chosen Sept. 9 and will be invited to make a presentation at the Utah State University branch campus in Vernal Sept. 18.
