CLEARFIELD — To help tackle the costs of being in a recession, the Davis County Library will hold a “recession buster” book sale on Saturday, Aug. 1.

The North Branch will host the book sale with hundreds of books for sale, varying in price from 25 cents to $1. The North Branch is located at 562 S 1000 E in Clearfield, just west of I-15 and north of Clearfield High School. Its focus is on letting people know what resources are still available to them for free in this recession.

“It is really a great place to come during these tough economic times,” said branch librarian Trish York. “We can provide residents with Internet and WiFi service and access to low-budget entertainment and information.”

York said the library is the best resource for all these services because they are free to the public. “The Davis County North Branch is considered a hidden treasure in Clearfield,” she said.

“Patrons stretch dollars by borrowing DVDs, CDs and books, as well as by using our Internet computers to search for jobs and upload applications.”
