The announcement came as early as September, when their Fall newsletter was available to the public.
ìItís an event where we can get all the citizens of the city involved,î said City Administrator Wendell Wild. ìItís important that we show to the community that we want to keep are streets clean.î
According to the newsletter, residents of West Bountiful will be allowed to dispose of yard waste and miscellaneous cleanup material from their primary residence; however, they are also urged to not dispense other items in the containers that could be hazardous.
Items include any lead based products, chemicals, paint, tires and whole televisions, to name a few.
There will be large trash bins at the city park for residents to throw away their unwanted materials.
The city clean up effort will run until Saturday, Oct. 11, with daily hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bins will not be open on Sundays, and residents are being urged not to leave their trash at the site after hours.
