Family History Library to offer publishing class

SALT LAKE CITY ó Have you ever wanted to compile a family history but just didnít know where to begin? Now is your chance to learn. ##M:MORE##

In the upcoming weeks the Family History Library is offering classes in capturing and publishing family history.

A series of classes on Capturing Your Family History will be held Saturday and will include: ìCapturing Oral Histories,î ìWriting Your Personal History,î ìCreating a Family Website,î and ìOrganizing a Family Reunion.î The classes run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, there will be classes on Publishing Your Family History. These will include: ìPreparing Your Family History,î ìPrinting a Book Using the Personal Ancestral File Genealogy Software,î and ìGetting Your History Ready for Publication.î

The classes run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All classes will be held on the main floor of the library. To view the class schedules online, go to www.familysearch.org. The library is located to the west of Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. Free parking is available in the lot at 119 West North Temple Street (behind the Museum of Church History and Art).
