Pehrson is a Davis County native and has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of McKay-Dee Hospital since 2004. Before being named the CEO, he worked as an Operations Officer at McKay-Dee for four years, having management responsibilities for most of the hospitalís operations. Pehrson has also had experience working in the large physician group practice and health insurance industries.
Pehrson graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in history and received his masterís degree in healthcare administration from the University of Michigan. He completed a post-graduate administrative fellowship at Samaritan Health System in Phoenix, Ariz.
Pehrson participates in the community as well as the healthcare industry. He is a member of the Ogden/Weber and Davis Chambers of Commerce where he participates on both Chambersí Legislative Affairs Committees. He is a member of Toastmasters, serves on the boards of McKay-Dee Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital Foundation, Utah Hospital Association, Davis Applied Technology College Foundation Board and the Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Foundation.
Pehrson is also a former board member of the Davis County Childrenís Justice Center and the Utah Healthcare Executives Board.
