Layton: 31 Davis: 15
Too many people are overlooking Layton this year. Thatís a bad idea. I donít expect Davis to overlook the Lancers, but I just see a Layton club too loaded for the young guns of Davis to handle. With that said, however, I would not be shocked if this became the coming out party for Gavin Fowler and the Dart offense.
Viewmont: 18 Clearfield: 10
I canít figure out either of these teams. The Falcons played great in the first half of their game with Davis, but seemed to leave their passion in the locker room at halftime. Viewmontís offense stumbled until it was forced to score in the last minute of the game. Something has to give and I believe it will be the Vikings.
Bountiful: 17 Box Elder 7
Iím sticking with the one constant this season...the Braves scoring 17 points. I expect Bountiful to go to Brigham City and play some smash mouth football and come away with the win. The Braves have looked better and better each week and Drew Miner is definitely in control of the offense with the massive line and horses carrying the ball the Braves will grind out another victory.
