ìENERGY STAR has seen an increase over the years,î said Cris Peterson, coordinator. ìEspecially as home builders are seeking to specialize and stand out to a niche market.
ìThey are paying more attention to energy efficient details. The homes they build are quieter, tighter and there is less dust and pollen.î
Peterson has been working with ENERGY STAR of Utah for more than 11 years.
Since working with ENERGY STAR in 2004, Destination Homes has built an average of 125 homes a year that qualify under the label.
ìIn comparison to other energy efficient builders, Destination Homes is one of the better ENERGY STAR builders,î said Peterson. ìThey are willing to do what it takes and are easy to work with.î
Brad Wilson, CEO of Destination Homes, stated that government programs such as ENERGY STAR should be applauded for their efforts to promote energy conservation.
ìWe believe energy efficiency is the stamp of the future,î he said. ìOur homes are more comfortable for homeowners because of their ENERGY STAR rating. We are saving them time and money they would otherwise spend on utilities.î

Fragís Ní Gibs set to open this Saturday
BOUNTIFUL ó Fragís Ní Gibs will be having a Grand Opening event this Saturday.
The new store, owned by Chris Ray, is said to be different from other similar stores.
ìWeíre a gaming store,î said Ray. ìBut we donít sell games. We just want people to come in and play games.î
The store so far is complete with Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. The newest game to hit the market in the gaming industry is also available for people to come and enjoy.
ìWe just received Rock Band 2,î Ray said. ìWe have everything set up and ready to go for our Grand Opening.
ìItís probably going to be one of our most popular games in here.î
The store also features 10 computers owned by the store as a partnership with Hero Computers. The 24-inch screens are high definition quality, something Ray wanted as a special feature for those who didnít have one at home.
ìThey could also bring their computers here if they want,î he said.
ìWe have areas where they can turn their computers on, hook up with our address and play a game of Call of Duty 4, World or Warcraft, or whatever they want.î
Ray also mentioned that they will be holding ìnew releaseî tournaments and gameplay, where customers can walk in at midnight (depending on the game) and be a part of a tournament, or just play the game for fun. Ray stated that because of the popularity of games such as Call of Duty and Madden, their store will be a fun place to come and play.
The store is located at 273 West 500 South in Bountiful next to Hero Computers. Their Grand Opening is set for this Saturday.
