CLEARFIELD ó Police have identified a suspect in connection with last weekís robbery of the Black Velvet Boutique. ##M:MORE##

Police named Paul Rivera, 26, of Layton, as the man who allegedly held up the adult novelty store at gunpoint and forced a clerk to help him load merchandise into garbage bags before he reportedly made her handcuff herself to the wall. He then allegedly fled in the clerkís car.

Clearfield Police Det. Cpl. Kyle Jefferies said information dispersed by the news media led to the identification of the suspect.

Jefferies said they believe Rivera may be headed to San Antonio in a red, newer model four-door Chevy truck.

Anyone with information on Riveraís whereabouts is asked to contact Clearfield Police at 525-2806.
