BOUNTIFUL ó Handcart Days and IOV/Summerfest were already over and the Davis County Fair was in full swing in Farmington, but that didnít keep people in South Davis from celebrating this weekend. Residents gathered at Bountiful City Park on Saturday for the South American Festival of Art, Dance, Music and Gastronomy, which after two years in Salt Lake City, enjoyed its first year in Davis County. ##M:MORE##

The festival featured food, art, crafts and dance groups from 10 different South American countries, including the South American dance group Viva el Folklore (top, left photo) and the rock group Grupo Dosis (bottom, right photo.)

The Farmers Market, Thursday, (upper right) saw many small bears donated to Bountiful Police and Utah Highway Patrol. The bears are given as comfort to children suffering through traumatic situations, such as separation from parents in domestic violence/abuse situations. Sgt. Ted Tingey, left, Utah Highway Patrol; Lt. Sol Oberg and Officer David Ash, in uniform, Bountiful Police; received them from Farmers Insurance agent Jim Kauerz and customer service rep Mary Carpenter.
