Neale was born July 27, 1923, in Monticello, Utah, to Fredrick Young Jr. and LaVerna Rogerson Jensen. He married Barbara Besendorfer, Nov. 10, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have four children, Jim, Diana, Patty and Susan. They have 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, of whom they are very proud.

Neal served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He graduated from the Salt Lake Vocational College in electronics. He has served in many positions for the LDS Church and served a Davis Stake Mission and a mission with Barbara in the South Carolina Columbia Mission. He is serving in the Bountiful Temple and has served since January 1995.

He has always been a hard worker and has given much in selfless service to others, and has been an example of honesty and integrity. He belonged to the Centerville Jr. Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Centerville Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. He enjoys camping, fishing and being with his family.
