Come learn the fastest game on two feet. The Woods Cross girls lacrosse team is sponsoring a camp for girls 18 years or younger OR of any level of experience 9th grade and younger. ##M:MORE##The Camp will take place at Hatch Park in North Salt Lake (50 West Center St.) and run from Aug. 11-15 from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost of $85 will include instruction and a T-shirt. The Woods Cross girls lacrosse team has won five state titles from 1998-2002 and was second in 2006. E-mail niki@utahlax.org for more info.

Benefit Golf at Eaglewood

Eaglewood Golf Course is hosting a benefit tournament to help raise money for the Utah Valley University wrestling team. The tournament will take place at Eaglewood on July 29. Money raised will help support UVU wrestling, the sole college wrestling team in the state of Utah. For more information, call Ashley at Smoot Real Estate (296-9600).

WX seeking coaches

Woods Cross High School has announced an opening for a head baseball coach and head swim coach. Interested parties should contact Athletic Director Rick Winder or Principal Vicki Ingram at (801) 402-4500.

Layton Fall Softball

Layton city is starting a fall adult softball league. Registration is under way and runs through July 31. The cost is $250 per team, which will include seven games and a tournament. Play will be Tuesday night for co-ed, Thursday night for women and Menís 50-plus, and Friday night for menís rec. Play begins the week of Aug. 11. Call Natalie at 336-3922 for more information.

So. Davis Rec Center Free Swim

The South Davis Recreation Department is offering its annual free swim on July 24. The swim will take place from 8-10 a.m. with a free family swim taking place from 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Prizes will be offered for all participants.

Late Farmington football

The Farmington Youth Football League has already had its open registration, but for people who missed those sign-ups or those new to the area, there is help. For anyone with questions about late registration, please call the Farmington Recreation Department as soon as possible at (801) 451-0953.

Spockís Skate Camp (Roller)
