PINEVIEW RESERVOIR ó A Layton man drowned Sunday while swimming at Pineview Reservoir in Weber County. Caesar Hernandez, 20, reportedly was swimming out to get an inflatable ball near Cemetery Point, about 6:45 p.m., when he went under and never resurfaced, said Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Dave Creager. ##M:MORE##

Creager said Hernandez was not in a designated swimming zone and the wake of a jet ski passing by caused him to bounce up and down. Creager also said Hernandez had been eating before swimming and was wearing jeans which likely became too heavy in the water

A patrol boat and helicopter searched for him. His body was pulled from the water around 8:30 p.m.
