His Point - Issues skipped by political posturing

After five months of intrigue and posturing, it now appears we have a November oriented race between two major party candidates who are as different and alike as were Tommy and Dick Smothers in their famous and hilarious comedy routines. The prolonged Democrat donnybrook neither helped nor hurt the Republicans. Interestingly, the real impact [positive or negative] will happen between now and the very entertaining late August Convention the Democrats promise to stage. Those now believing Obamaís nomination is secure may find a Clintonian sized surprise awaiting them before Obama becomes an official nominee. ##M:MORE##

Like the mindless American Idol voting, the focus of the extended Democrat campaign was all about posturing, not politics. No one cared about political positions of either Obama or Clinton.

All the talk was about an African-American or a woman ìdeservingî a place at the nationís helm.

Sadly, after five months of limited scrutiny, the politics of the players and the probable consequences of their policies, have been completely skipped over. Instead, news analysis has been focused on the persona of the players than on what they will do to America.

Obamaís race should be meaningless. The focus should be on his liberal intentions and his unending, un-fundable promises. If his wild-eyed ìChangeî is implemented as he promises, the government will become the absolute master of all.

It will dictate what everyone can do and when they can do it. His socialism will solidify the liberal pogroms that will enslave and brand us all, and make us part of readily identifiable groups which will be closely managed under an affirmative action agenda.

It will tax us all to the point that there will soon be nothing left that is not Caesarís.

Oh, and so-called Republican, John McCain, offers an agenda and a history not really dissimilar to that of Obama.

And that Tommy Smothers, is no laughing matter.

Nichols is dedicated to preserving the ìAmerican dreamî for his 24 grandchildren through conservative principles.
