My highest priority if elected is to represent, enrich, and empower the families of District 20. Many issues will be paramount as we move forward: health care, education, economic development, energy, transportation, and the environment. Every issue needs to be evaluated as to the impact it will have on our families. Both my professional background as a marriage and family therapist and a clinical social worker, as well as my community based volunteer work over the past 15 years of living in this area, have led me to be uniquely qualified to act as your representative in the state legislature. I know the people of District 20 are highly concerned about improving health care and education while strengthening our economy. Our current economic situation requires a careful evaluation of all areas of spending. I know that such scrutiny will prove that the “right” policies are also the “smart” policies. By cutting waste, increasing transparency, containing costs, and continuing to look for innovative ideas both health care, energy, and education reforms will create a tremendous economic benefit and build a community that we can all be proud of. Additionally, I stand as a strong supporter of ethics reform in state government and believe in stringent accountability and transparency. Your input and ideas that are an outgrowth of your individual experiences and background are important to me and I welcome and encourage your involvement. Let’s work together to create a great future for our families.
