Syracuse talks about Columbine
SYRACUSE — On Wednesday, Sept. 30, students at Syracuse Junior High School will hear the story of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School in Colorado. As her parents began to pick up the pieces after her death, they discovered several diaries with Rachel’s life philosophy. They have now formed a nonprofit organization titled Rachel’s Challenge. Following an assembly at 9 a.m., there is a training session for students who want to do something good for other people. An evening session at 7 p.m. welcomes parents to see what their children have seen.
