Jerry Thompson, departed from his earthly home on October 13, 2009. He was born in Whittier, California to Gerald and Leola Baker Thompson. He was raised by and sealed to Carl and Bessie Larson. He married Evelyn Hauser (dec-eased) in the Salt Lake Temple on June 21, 1948. He was employed by the US Postal Service and retired as the Kaysville City Postmaster. He served in the 115th Combat Engineers during the Korean War. He Managed the Burnham Duck club for over nine years. He enjoyed nature’s beauty and all types of hunting and fishing. He loved being at his cabin with family and friends. He served as Mayor for West Bountiful City . He was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings over the years.

He is survived by two sons Terry (Pat) Thompson, Centerville, Scott (Lynell) Thompson, St.George; sisters, Gusty (Rex) Conradsen, Magna, Aileen Roothoff, West Jordan, Bonita (Wendell) Fackrell, Bountiful, Laverne (Stan) Johnson, Taylorsville, Rosemary Cornell (deceased), Ceceile (Carl) Lightfoot, Annette (Ron) Richards, TX; brothers, Donovan (deceased) Golda Larson, SLC, David (deceased) Doris Larsen, Magna, Douglas (Susan) Larsen, SLC, Dale (Grethe) Larsen, SLC, Tim Thompson Az.; brother in-law Ron (Barbara) Hauser; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. We would like to thank his West Bountiful Ward family and friends for their loving and kind friendship over the years. We would like to thank the Centerville Beehive House staff and fellow residents for their loving care and friendship. Thanks to his many friends at the Bountiful Golden Years Center and his Doctors, Hospice and care givers at the U of U Centerville Clinic and Lakeview Hospital. Jerry and Evelyn are together again.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2009 at the West Bountiful 2nd Ward Chapel, 850 North 800 West. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Friday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
