The vaccine will be available in FluMist spray for people in the targeted populations who are healthy (but not pregnant) and 2-49 years of age and in injectable form for people in the targeted populations who are healthy or who have an underlying medical condition and are 6 months to 64 years of age.
Those who should receive the H1N1 vaccine include: pregnant women, a household contact or caregiver of a child younger than 6 months, those age 6 months to 24 years, health care or emergency medical services workers, those age 25-64 years old who have a health condition associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza, such as heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, neurologic and neuromuscular conditions, weakened immune system, or if your physician states that you are at high risk
The H1N1 vaccine will be offered to the general population after the higher-risk groups have been immunized.

Other vaccination clinics will be scheduled as the weekly shipments of vaccine increase.
Those participating on Thursday are asked to dress appropriately for the weather because a majority of the wait will be outside.
Also, wear a short-sleeved shirt to speed your vaccination process.
Meanwhile, the Davis County Health Department’s supply of seasonal flu vaccine is temporarily out. The next shipment is expected sometime during November.
Health care professionals or local pharmacies may have some seasonal flu vaccine available. Those interested in receiving that vaccine are urged to call those providers.
The Davis County Health Department will resume seasonal flu vaccine clinics when it arrives. Call the Flu Information Line recorded message at 801-451-3333 in November to hear the latest availability of the seasonal flu vaccine.
