Orchard Elem. sponsors food drive

BOUNTIFUL — The Student Service Council will be sponsoring a food drive until Friday, Dec. 11. Items collected will be delivered to the Bountiful Food Pantry. A contest will be held between classes in kindergarten through third grade and fourth through sixth grades to see who brings in the most food during the food drive. Layton High students make tiles

LAYTON — Ceramic students at Layton High School made tiles to go into the new day-care center, part of the phase 1 addition to the school. Students will get to see their work on the walls at an open house at the school from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday night. For more information, contact Shalise Marx at 801-402-4800.

Kaysville Jr. hosts benefit concert

LAYTON — The Music Department Benefit Concert for Kaysville Junior High School will be held in the Layton High School auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday night. For more information, contact Sheryl Woodfield at 801-402-7200.

Used bookstore open for holidays

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful Elementary School’s used bookstore is up and running. The store includes holiday books and movies, craft kits and patterns, cookbooks and coffee table books. Through the used bookstore, all proceeds go toward buying new books for the elementary school library. The store is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
