Eagleston opens Allstate Agency
Sunset — Chuck Eagleston has opened an Allstate insurance agency in Sunset to provide auto,
home, life and commercial insurance to area residents and businesses. The agency is located at 2465 N. Main, No. 1, phone: 801-825-2020.
Eagleston provides the following five tips to help area residents protect themselves and their property:
• Take steps to prevent auto theft — A car is stolen in America every 26 seconds. Always lock your vehicle, close all windows and take your keys with you. Consider using a visible or audible warning device in your car
such as alarms, steering wheel locks or VIN etching so thieves will know your vehicle is protected.
• Talk to teens early and often about smart driving — Discuss the risks and responsibilities of driving with your child at a young age and keep talking to your teen before, during and after the licensing process.
• Don’t own a home? Don't overlook insurance — While homeowner insurance coverage is required as a part of most mortgages, renters face no such
insurance requirement. As a result, a recent survey found that just 40 percent of survey respondents said they have renters insurance.
• Make a home inventory — After a disaster, it’s virtually impossible to remember all the things you’ve bought over the years, particularly when you’re upset about a loss. A home inventory helps simplify the insurance claims process and ensures a faster recovery. Make a list, take photos or video, save receipts and keep a copy of the inventory in a place separate from your home. The public is welcome to download free home inventory software at http://www.knowyourstuff.org/allstate.
* Review your coverages once a year - Talk with your insurance agent about
remodeling projects that may impact the cost of rebuilding the home in the
event of a fire or loss. Consumers should also make sure they read the
policy and understand all of the coverages.
"Life can be unpredictable," Eagleston said. "We want to help Sunset
families and residents protect their property and prepare for whatever the
future may hold."
