The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The University of Utah has a Lunch and Learn series that is now in full swing. The free lectures of the Lunch and Learn series are for people age 50 and over. These are lively and provocative discussions, and a great place for people to come together to learn and share their views on a variety of issues. RSVP is not required.

Swan Lake: The Evolution of Classical Ballet

Wednesday, Feb. 10, Noon –1 p.m., Commander’s House, U of U campus. Learn how classical ballet has changed in the past 200 years – specifically, Swan Lake. How did an outlandish fairy tale become a quintessential classical ballet? Presented by Adam Sklute, Artistic Director for Ballet West.

Understanding & Overcoming Muscle Pain & Dysfunction

Wednesday, Feb. 17, Noon –1 p.m., Commander’s House, U of U campus. Chronic muscle pain can often be alleviated with targeted muscle therapy. Join us for this lecture from an expert in this field. The lecture includes an explanation of how muscles and fascia work and how trigger points, neurological tightness, and adhesions develop, cause pain, and can be eliminated.
