BOUNTIFUL — The Vikings have just finished first term. The students are excelling because of their hard work and the efforts of our great administration and staff.

Viewmont has selected the Sterling Scholars for 2008-2009 who are as follows: Business & Marketing- Megan Mann, Computer Technology- Logan Gunnell, Dance- Elizabeth Alley, English- Josh Harms, Family & Consumer Sciences- Mary Hiller, Foreign Language- Trevor Bagley, Mathematics- Carlee Jones, Music- Erin Mueller, Science- Tiffani Allred, Social Science- Hannah Blackburn, Speech/Drama- Marcus Murdock, Trade/Technology Education- Gavin Smith and Visual Arts- Alison Malan. Congratulations Sterling Scholars!

Viewmont is looking forward to, Guadalupe, its largest fund-raiser of the year. Guadalupe is a school in Salt Lake City for underprivileged children.

Students at Viewmont have the opportunity to take the money that is collected and shop for a specific child and deliver the gifts to them in person. Money is also donated to the Davis Foundation which helps homeless families in the Davis District.

Last year’s proceeds helped a little girl get a heart transplant. This is all made possible by students at Viewmont High School and the community. Donations to this great cause would be appreciated.
