My name is Andrew Judd and I am working on my communications merit badge in Kaysville. One of the requirements that I need to do is write to an editor of our local newspaper about what I think of communication.

Personally I think that the newspaper is a really great way to communicate and tell people what is going on. I also think that phone and the Internet are other ways to do a lot of communicating, but do you ever feel that the Internet is kind of, in a way, taking away the importance of the newspaper? I know for one thing that my mom goes to KSL to look at the news and that we also don’t buy the newspaper often.

Hello Andrew! Communication is taking a new route. I find it interesting that someone of your age would still find paper important. I was wondering why you find the newspaper is something to keep around? Some say that our future young adults will never have read a newspaper. Amazing huh? While I do find it sad to hear it's great that someone of your age is still interested in keeping it alive. You never know the newspaper may stay around longer that you think. Good luck with your eagle project! KW @ www.daviscountyonline.com ;)
