FARMINGTON — In July, Farmington City staff will move into a new building, three times the size of the current city hall on North Main.

Construction is moving rapidly ahead on the new city headquarters, which is adjacent to the city’s Community Center.

Once the city staff is moved out of the current city hall the Davis School District will relocate some of its administration offices there. The actual relocation was formalized in an agreement approved by the city council at a recent meeting.

Also on Tuesday’s agenda was an information item about a reservoir planned to be built on the city’s east bench. The reservoir will be built just above Compton Road on Forest Service land. It will be an uncovered facility operated by the Benchmark Water District.

The city council agreed to team with ABC (a construction company) in cost sharing of the use of dirt that will be removed to build the reservoir.
