For Utah Saves Week,try budget workshop

LAYTON — Davis County residents are invited to attend a free budgeting workshop Friday at 10 a.m. as part of Utah Saves Week observance.

The workshop will be held at the Family Connection Center Food Bank, 875 E. Highway 93, here.

AAA Fair Credit Foundation conducts the workshop each Friday. Those attending will receive help in setting up a monthly spending plan, review current spending plan and get tips for sticking to a budget. Materials and resources are also provided.

On Saturday, a free seminar, Saving My Home will be held at 10:30 a.m. to noon at the AAA Fair Credit Foundation offices, 230 W. 200 S., Suite 3104, Salt Lake City.

Come learn what you can do to save your home from foreclosure. Topics will include: what your options are to keep your home, how and where to get help, what you'll need. The federal “Home Affordable Modification Plan” (HAMP) and how it affects you will be discussed, as well.
