The Davis High School Band will perform the 25th annual Moonlight Serenade Dinner and Dance from Thursday, April 15, through Saturday, April 17, at the high school. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by contacting Ellen Payne at 801-451-8812 or e-mail payneellen@comcast.net.
The program celebrates veterans of war in memory of Glenn Miller, a man many recognize as the one responsible for making big band music popular in the 1930s. He died in service during World War II.
The music for Moonlight Serenade is provided by the Davis High School Moonlight Orchestra, also known as the Davis High Jazz Band, as well as by Moonlight Singers.
Floor show entertainment will include members of the Davis High School Dance Company.
Prices are $20 for Thursday night and $25 for Friday and Saturday nights. Dance only tickets may be purchased at the door for $10. Reservations must be made in advance.
