The South Davis Recreation Center will be the setting, with the free event running 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
A variety of free health screenings and demonstrations will be offered, from blood pressure to body fat/BMI by Lakeview Hospital.
Grocery Guru Ken Roesbery will be on hand to share his wealth of money-saving knowledge at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
In these hard economic times, he’ll share ways on how to save more than 50 percent on your grocery bill via scouring and using those newspaper food coupons.
Visitors can browse the nearly 25 booths for health and related tips, as well as take advantage of free samples provided at many of the booths.
Lakeview Hospital will be offering screenings in blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, body fat/BMI, hand washing, grip strength and nutrition.
Participating businesses and organizations include Davis County Health Department, South Davis Rental, Mountain West Hearing, Davis County Clipper, Herbs for Health, Dr. Cory Frogley, and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.
Also, Costco, Eagle Gate College, Arbonne Skin Care, Tile Outlet, Devotion Clinic and Comfort Keepers.
“The Davis County Clipper is happy to partner with these great community agencies and businesses,” says Publisher R. Gail Stahle.
“Especially in these times of rising health costs and concerns about our own physical well-being, we are happy to offer a ‘one-stop shop’ for Davis County residents to learn of services available and take advantage of some of the health screenings,” he said.
