They continued that roll Thursday as they took care of the Layton Lancers in three games.
The scores in the sweep were 25-17, 25-14 and 25-21.
Helping in the victory for the Davis were Maddy Bullard and Baylie Henrie, who combined for 21 assists as setters for Davis’ powerful outside hitters.
Of those hitters were Candice Richins and sophomore Kaylie Kamalu, who combined for 19 kills total in the sweep.
Henrie also finished with five digs and Richins had four digs, while Kamalu added two block assists and four aces to go along with her kills.
The Darts, now 8-0 in Region 1 for the year, have only had two contests this season go to a fourth game.
The first was against Fremont in a four-game victory in mid-September, and the other against Syracuse Tuesday, which they also defeated in four games.
With the first round of Region 1 play over, the Darts have an 18-3 overall record.
They have a day off Tuesday then face off against rival Viewmont for the second time this season. Viewmont is 5-3 in Region 1, winning its last three games against Roy, Clearfield and Syracuse respectively.
The Vikings have been on a roll since losing their initial two games of region play, winning five of their last six contests.
Viewmont plays Layton Tuesday before facing off against the Darts.
