CLEARFIELD – Clearfield City has opened up registration windows for a number of camps and lessons starting in July.
Camps include youth basketball, football, volleyball and overall fitness.
The basketball camp is for ages 8 to 15 and the director is Clearfield boys’ basketball coach Chris Hulse. Hulse will teach participants the fundamentals and rules of the game and hold scrimmages after its completion.
The camp will run from July 14 to 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cost is $140 for residents, $160 for non-residents.
A $10 late fee will be added after June 30.
The youth football camp is for ages 7 to 15 and is a one-day camp being held on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Former NFL wide receiver Andre Dyson, now the head coach of Clearfield football, will lead the camp.
Participants will work on agility, speed and position fundamentals among other things.
Cost of the camp is $20 and includes a T-shirt.
The volleyball camp will be led by former Viewmont High School player Ariel Salvo-Sprague and is for youth ages 11 to 15. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily starting Monday, July 21.
Cost is $100 for residents, $120 for non-residents. A $10 late fee will be added for registrations done beyond June 30.
A skills and fitness camp will be held from July 7 to 11 at the Clearfield Aquatics Center and is for youth ages 5 to 12. The camp will run daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
